These are definitely some great covers. They did such a great job with the photos. They look good on all the magazines. Keep up t the good work.

I give credit to Australia's editor. At least we know somebody still thinks Rolling Stone should be a magazine devoted to music first, politics at a close second and then pop culture. I don't mean to bash and preach but when you have some of the best rock musicians of a generation collaborating to form a supergroup, it only makes sense to me to give them a cover shot instead of a face that won't matter in five years. Fads come and go, and Them Crooked Vultures should be recognized because it brought life back to the rock 'n roll game, albeit for a short period of time.

i first listened to the song 'spinning in daffodils' over and over on austin city limits and bought it. joshua homme was awesome singing this song but their studio version adds a low voice of no significant talent which over volumes joshua homme which destroys the art of the song. that was the best song on austin city limits. but definetly not on your cd after vh1 (i guess) took control. i was grateful to see you on drums again grohl. u are awesome. but give some respect and let it be joshua's band. i know he ain't that insecure to let some crap vocals overide his. the bald guy had no rights then to overide him then why on the soundtrack. it would have been the #1 song if not for whatever somebody did wrong with publishing this song.

When we were in Seattle November 13th, 2009 to see the Pixies at the Paramount, and noticed that Wolfmother and Them Crooked Vultures were playing at the Paramount the following weekend. I had wished we had known about those concerts because I like both of those bands, and would like to have gone back to Seattle then, but couldn't afford it.
I've noticed the Tour Schedule has them going to lower California, Nevada, and Colorado. I see there's a break in the schedule before the 'Vultueres' go to Europe. If possible, and that break isn't some downtime with the family, it would be great to see 'Them Crooked Vultures' in British Columbia sometime?
If anyone reads these requests, I'll bet there's lots of fans that would like to see 'Them Crooked Vultures' in Victoria or Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Oh wow. I've never seen the Australian issue for Rolling Stone. It's nice to see that they're holding the band up with such high regard. Meanwhile, back in the states, on the cover of this month's issue of RS is the wolf from that Twilight movie. Oh RS, how far have we come from the 60's and 70's?
I give credit to Australia's editor. At least we know somebody still thinks Rolling Stone should be a magazine devoted to music first, politics at a close second and then pop culture. I don't mean to bash and preach but when you have some of the best rock musicians of a generation collaborating to form a supergroup, it only makes sense to me to give them a cover shot instead of a face that won't matter in five years. Fads come and go, and Them Crooked Vultures should be recognized because it brought life back to the rock 'n roll game, albeit for a short period of time. Even if the buzz about the group's secrecy and where they were going to play next lasted only for a few months, it was an exciting time that should be honored by the people at RS. Not only that, the members of the band already have their names inscribed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (literally the case for John Paul Jones). Do you think an Oscar is in the future for this guy on the cover looking dramatically to the left? I don't know, probably not. But then again, he does look good playing football in the ocean.

Got that VISIONS-copy the other day, also included "New Fang" as a first track on the disc.
Though the title is not listed on the envelope (Them Crooked Vultures gave the permission for the track a little bit later than the envelope's tracks were printed on), I still think it was one of the first high-quality-songs on disc out there. I was very pleased to get that as probably one of the first guys around.
In altogether, a very good magazine and an even better interview. The shots are great, but could have been more - especially the live-shots. Nonetheless, worth the money.
